Around some Haitian gourmet dishes, American singer John Legend and Haitian DJ Michael Brun discussed the situation of Haitian immigrants in the United States, the day after the election of Donald Trump to the White House.

John Legend defended Haitians living in Springfield, accused of eating domestic animals, including dogs and cats.

For the American singer, this false information caused a psychosis of fear among Haitian migrants, negatively impacting all of American society. “Because of these rumors, they all live in fear, they no longer have the strength or motivation to work, and this hurts the whole of society,” declares the interpreter of *All of Me*.

The singer from Springfield had already defended the Haitians a few days after Trump’s accusations, in the middle of a debate with Kamala Harris.

John Legend reiterated his support for the Haitian community in Ohio during his discussion with Michael Brun, who had, a few weeks earlier, announced a collaboration with the singer.
