Beyoncé is lending a helping hand to those who were affected by the LA wildfires, donating $2.5 million to her newly launched LA Fire Relief Fund via her BeyGOOD foundation.

The news was announced Sunday via BeyGOOD’s Instagram account, which revealed the money would go toward helping “families in the Altadena/Pasadena area,” as well as “churches and community centers in other impacted areas to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”

“Los Angeles we stand with you,” the post’s caption read. Also included was a site, https://beygood.org, where people can get more information about the fund and BeyGOOD’s mission.

Bey’s announcement comes as the LA wildfires have demolished homes and killed at least 24 people, The Associated Press reports, causing the cancellation or delay of Hollywood events and a pause on the production of some shows.

Live Nation is also providing some help with FireAid, a benefit concert “dedicated to rebuilding communities devastated by wildfires and supporting efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California,” a press release says, with proceeds benefiting “a 501(c)(3) created for the event that will focus on rebuilding infrastructure, supporting displaced families, and advancing fire prevention technologies and strategies to ensure LA is better prepared for fire emergencies.” FireAid is scheduled for Jan. 30 at LA’s Intuit Dome.
