Kendrick Lamar<\/strong>\u00a0rocked the Caesars Superdome during the Apple Music Super Bowl 59 halftime show.<\/h1>\n

The\u00a0GNX<\/em>\u00a0rapper electrified the crowd with\u00a0a medley of his hits at halftime, where he was joined by special guests\u00a0SZA<\/strong>\u00a0et\u00a0Samuel L. Jackson<\/strong>, the latter of whom who was dressed as \u201cUncle Sam\u201d in red, white, and blue. The colors of the American flag were a theme throughout the performance.<\/p>\n

Lamar played some of his most popular songs, including \u201cEuphoria,\u201d \u201cSquabble Up,\u201d \u201cPeekaboo,\u201d \u201cHUMBLE.\u201d and \u201cDNA.\u201d Between songs, he teased whether or not he\u2019d perform \u201cNot Like Us,\u201d his #1 diss track that takes aim at\u00a0Drake<\/strong>, rapping, \u201cI\u00a0want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

He finally did play it, and while he dropped out one of the track\u2019s more extreme insults, he kept the famous line, \u201cTryin\u2019 to strike a chord\/ and it\u2019s probably A-minor,\u201d to the delight of the crowd, who shouted along.<\/p>\n

Lamar wore a blue leather jacket and was joined by a large group of dancers on stage. Mid-way through, SZA, dressed in red, joined Lamar to sing their duets hits \u201cLuther\u201d and \u201cAll the Stars.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mustard<\/strong>, K.dot\u2019s frequent collaborator, also joined the star onstage, while tennis icon\u00a0Serena Williams<\/strong>\u00a0made a cameo during the performance where she was seen dancing.<\/p>\n

Lamar previously\u00a0performed as part of the halftime show for Super Bowl 56, which was headlined by\u00a0Dr. Dre<\/strong>,\u00a0Snoop Dogg<\/strong>,\u00a0Eminem<\/strong>,\u00a050 Cent\u00a0<\/strong>et\u00a0Mary J. Blige<\/strong>. His performance Sunday, however,\u00a0made him the first solo hip-hop artist to headline a Super Bowl halftime show.<\/p>\n

Lamar is coming off a massively successful night at the Grammys on Feb. 2, taking home five awards for \u201cNot Like Us.\u201d<\/p>\n
