Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0has compiled its picks for the\u00a0250 greatest albums<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of the 21st century, and\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0Lemonade<\/em>\u00a0reigns supreme. The album\u2019s praised for having the best \u201cstorytelling, revelation, and cultural resonance\u201d in comparison to her other projects, as\u00a0well as Bey\u2019s vulnerability.<\/p>\n

\u201cLemonade<\/em>\u00a0has always been \u2026 more than just an album,\u201d the mag writes. \u201cIt\u2019s a music film as layered, gorgeous, and haunting as a canonical drama, a matrix of generational heartbreak, a celebration of legacy, and a hand-drawn map to the intersections of many Black women\u2019s interpersonal and political lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also making the top five is\u00a0Frank Ocean<\/strong>\u2018s 2016 album,\u00a0Blonde<\/em>, at #3 and\u00a0Outkast<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0Stankonia<\/em>\u00a0from 2000 at #4. \u201cThe wildest, most out-there hip-hop blockbuster ever made,\u201d as\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0calls it, partially went viral because of \u201cAndr\u00e9 3000<\/strong>\u2019s outrageous evolution away from any concept of style or genre,\u201d and was the last time he and\u00a0Big Boi<\/strong>\u00a0\u201ctruly connected on a single CD.\u201d<\/p>\n

Good kid, m.A.A.d city<\/em>, the 2012 album by\u00a0Kendrick Lamar<\/strong>, came in at #6, followed by\u00a0SZA<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0SOS\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>at #7,\u00a0which continues to break records following the release of its\u00a0Lana<\/em>\u00a0deluxe.<\/p>\n

Kanye West<\/strong>\u00a0lands at #8 with 2010\u2019s\u00a0My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>while\u00a0D\u2019Angelo<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0Voodoo<\/em>\u00a0secured the 11th spot.<\/p>\n

Jay-Z<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0<\/strong>The Blueprint<\/em>, released in 2001 with \u201cso many quotable lines it ought to have its own section in the Library of Congress,\u201d was picked for #12, while his wife, Bey, secured a second spot on the list: her self-titled album was chosen as the 16th greatest of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

Missy Elliott<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0Under Construction<\/em>\u00a0came in at #18,\u00a0Rihanna<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0Anti<\/em>\u00a0is\u00a0#21\u00a0and\u00a0Take Care<\/em>\u00a0by\u00a0Drake\u00a0<\/strong>is #22.<\/p>\n
